The Garo Hills may still be early in its coffee journey, but each season brings it closer to consistent specialty-grade quality. Plantations here are young, processing units are limited, and farmers are just stepping into specialty practices; the curiosity is unmistakable. Rishab from our roasting team and Asif, who heads green coffee sourcing, travelled across cloud-lined valleys to meet growers in early-stage yet promising pockets of the region. Next, we take you through our visit to the Khasi Hills, Meghalaya’s most advanced coffee belt, and then onwards to the Jaintia Hills, where nurseries and acreage are rapidly expanding.
